Our Bracchi competed successfully in 8 countries in 2008- 2009. In 2008-09 our dogs/kennel have/has so far taken no less than 26 world breed firsts/records for UK dogs. We are a small, specialist Bracco kennel, located on the outskirts of London, England, right by the River Thames, & live only 5 minutes away from a 77-hectare expanse of 8,000 year-old woodland and fields. Since the Bracco is a breed in absolute need of very regular off-lead running to utilise their inherent hunting skills & boundless energy, this is ideal for them. One of us began with owning gundogs 29 years ago back in 1981 (English Springer Spaniels), the other was involved with rescues from 1980. We became very interested in the Bracco Italiano in 2001. We have been passionate about the breed ever since. If you are genuinely interested in this breed for itself & wish to know more or perhaps visit our dogs or enquire after a litter, we welcome you. *2009: FCI Headquarters, Belgium Our Corney, under recent World Canine Organisation rule amendments, now qualifies for the FCI INTERNATIONAL SHOW CHAMPION title, making him the world's FIRST ever- and only - UK based & bred Bracco to qualify for it. He made his first International wins towards this new title back in 2006. Final confirmation is now awaited from the FCI in Brussels.
OCTOBER 2009: UK The world's first UK FCI Bracco Italiano Champion, our beloved Giada, is pregnant: puppies due end November
SEPTEMBER 2009: ITALY Giada and ITALIAN CHAMPION Bianco were mated in Italy. Further background details regarding our choice of sire can be found here!
JULY 2009: FRANCE shows: again more world breed records, this time in France: Giada becomes the world's FIRST ever UK reg'd Bracco to win adult GROUP 1st place at National Champ level & both dogs together take 2 BOBs, 2 BEST DOG, 2 BEST BITCH, 4 EXCELLENT grades & 1st ever UK-reg'd Bracco French Champion tickets (4) as well as TWO International Champion CACIBS under Italian breed specialist G Alessandra
JULY 2009:ITALY 2 Italian National Champ Shows: World Breed history made again! Cornelius becomes world's first ever UK reg'd Bracco to win an ITALIAN CHAMPION ticket (Italian CAC), 2 EXCELLENT Grades from the Italian KC and FCI, 2BEST DOG, 2Res BEST OF BREED! Giada RESERVE ITALIAN CHAMPION TICKET, 4 EXCELLENT Grades, 2 RESERVE BEST BITCH! All under Italian breed specialists
JUNE 2009: ITALY We are the world's FIRST UK Bracco kennel to compete in the breed's homeland as we enter the 60th Anniversary RADUNO (breed match) of the Italian Bracco breed club S.A.B.I : Cornelius officially Graded EXCELLENT & Giada VERY GOOD & 3rd Intermediate Bitch by SABI ex-President! We were also privileged to attend the dinner celebrations at the amazing 1000-yr old castle home of its President
JUNE 2009: IRELAND In the European Championship Dog Show breed classes, Giada is BEST BITCH (in Intermediate class, 15mths-2 yrs old) & Corney BEST DOG (in Open class, males over 15mths).
